Influence of age on the hemodynamic response to exercise.

چکیده
oxygen consumption (VO2), diminished with age. Older subjects had a lower resting cardiac output (Q) than normal subjects, but an identical increase in Q with Vo,. There was no evidence of flattening of this curve as the older subjects approached highest exercise loads. Consequently, the arteriovenous oxygen difference did not increase abnormally on high loads, and the cardiac response to exercise in older subjects appeared to be adequate. The relationship between inspired air volume and heart rate with Vo2 at submaximal loads was not influenced by age. Systolic pressure increased progressively with exercise and showed a greater change in older subjects. Total peripheral resistance at rest increased with age; but with increasing exercise, this difference progressively diminished.

The effect of exercise status on response of homocysteine and insulin resistance to aerobic exercise in postmenopausal obese women
Homocysteine and insulin resistance in postmenoupausal women rises due to decrease in estrogen, low mobility and weight gain which increase the cardiovascular diseases. The aim of this study was to examine the effects of aerobic exercise training status on response of homocysteine and insulin resistance to aerobic exercise in active and nonactive obese postmenopausal women. Therefore, 21 obese ...

Background and Aim: The purpose of this study was to compare the effect of thiopental sodium-midazolam combination on the stress response and hemodynamic changes between tracheal intubation and laryngeal mask airway insertion during airway management. Materials and Methods: In this clinical trial study, 70 patients ASA 1, 2 candidates for elective surgery were randomly divided into two groups o...
متن کاملThe Response of Hematological Factors to Home-Based Exercise Rehabilitation and Center-Based Cardiac Rehabilitation in Coronary Artery Disease
Background: Hematological disorders such as increased white blood cells and platelets (elevated white blood cell and platelets) in coronary heart disease (CHD) are associated with increased mortality. Exercise could specifically influence hematologic factors. The purpose of this study was to survey the response of hematological factors to home-based exercise rehabilitation and center-based card...

Background: Introduction of leptin, a product of the obese gene, recently has led to numerous experiments to better understand body weight and composition function. Based on these findings, leptin is proposed to be an important factor in energy balance and metabolism to influence body weight. In addition, investigators have reported contradictory findings about the influence of physical ex...
متن کاملThe effect of eight weeks of cardiac rehabilitation on hemodynamic parameters and blood lipid profile in male patients 55-70 years old CABG coronary artery bypass graft surgery
Extended Abstract 1.Introduction According to the World Health Organization (2010), cardiovascular disease (CHD) is the most common cause of death worldwide (1). Sadeghpour et al. (2010) have shown that one of the most common problems after coronary artery bypass grafting is extensive hemodynamic changes. Incomplete drainage of blood and blood fluid from the pericardium and pleura reduces hea...
متن کاملEffects of Lidocaine on the Acute Hemodynamic Response to Electroconvulsive Therapy
ABSTRACT Electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) has been used widely to treat psychiatric disease. ECT under anesthesia is associated with hypertension and tachycardia. The cardiovascular effects of ECT were studied after per-treatment of 100 patients with lidocaine 1.5 mg/Kg (experimental group) and saline solution (control), using a double-blind, randomized clinical trial study. There were no sign...
